"Z is for Zoo Storytime"
April, 2004
Clad in safari wear and a pith helmet*, Professor Boonie, aka Michael O'Toole, spellbinds preschoolers with his ability to sing the ABC song backwards at record speed. Hear him two mornings a week at the Lincoln Park Zoo's Farm in the Zoo, where he delivers his animal-themed tales and songs in a setting that can't be beat. Get there 15 minutes early to nab a ticket. Suggested $1 donation. Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:15 and 10 a.m., for children up to five with a parent or caregiver.

* I wear a boonie hat, not a pith helmet and we gave up on tickets. I really like the spellbinding part, though.
